Mrs. Flora Manning Griggs, a resident of Notasulga, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the age of 98. Funeral services will be Friday, May 01, 2015, at 4:00pm from Salem-Macon Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Stephens, Rev. John Walker, Rev. Dric Williford, Rev. Lamar Griggs and Rev. Bill Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Salem-Macon Baptist Cemetery, Jeffcoat Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Griggs is survived by her children, Ann Howell Owsley, Jeanette Griggs Bowles, Noah J. Griggs, (Susie), Bobby Eugene Griggs (Diana), Charles I. Griggs (Janice), J. Lamar Griggs (Barbara) and Bill W. Griggs (Carol); 16 grandchildren, Randy Howell (Carol), Nancy Walker (Rev. John), Janet Boutwell (Ray), Linda Williford (Rev. Dric), Anita Tuong (Khanh), Vickie G. Ramsey, Noah J. Griggs, Jr. (Pam), Sandra Vick (Maj. Dallas), Maj. Robert Griggs (Tracie), Dr. Benjamin C. Griggs (Trista), Dr. David D. Griggs (Beth), Janella D. Martinez (J.L.), Marla Hawkesworth (Craig), Jon Griggs (Ashley), Juliana Griggs and Catherine Griggs; 29 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie M. Griggs and parents, James H. and Estella L. Manning. Momma Griggs was an exceptional mom, grandmother , great grandmother and great great grandmother. She will be missed by so many people who loved her dearly. The family will receive friends Friday, May 01, 2015, from 2:30pm until service time at Salem-Macon Baptist Church.
