The Opelika Police Department has set a goal to raise $15,000 to commission a custom bronze statue of Opelika Baby Jane Doe Amore Wiggins.
Here's a timeline with details on the death of Amore Wiggins, an Opelika girl who was identified more than 10 years after she was found dead behind an Opelika mobile home.
It has been almost a year since investigators identified Opelika Baby Jane Doe as Amore Wiggins after her remains were discovered in 2012, and Opelika police have reached their goal of raising $15,000 to honor her with a custom bronze statue.
"This is the man who is responsible for solving the Baby Jane Doe case. He put a lot of work and effort into solving that case," OPD Chief Healey said.
