AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn Parks and Recreation invites the community to celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the field behind Duck Samford Stadium. This free event promises an evening of family fun, live entertainment and a fireworks display to close out the night and celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with activities for all ages including inflatables, face painting, free giveaways and more. Attendees can enjoy food and treats for purchase from a variety of vendors while dancing along to music from the Dean Dollar Band and DJ OZZ. Jubilee Farms will provide free pony rides and a petting zoo.
The fireworks show is expected to begin around 9 p.m. or shortly after, depending on nightfall.
Duck Samford Baseball Fields 1–3 and the adjacent parking lot on East University Drive will be closed to the public to accommodate the fireworks shoot site. The Airport Road lot shared by the Bo Cavin fields and New Duck Samford fields will remain open. East University Drive from Kent Drive to Annalue Drive will temporarily close at 8:45 p.m. and reopen after the fireworks show has concluded.
In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is Sunday, July 5, featuring fireworks only.
