TROY, Ala. - Following two road matches, Troy soccer returns to the Troy Soccer Complex on Friday evening, hosting Kennesaw State at 6 p.m. in the first of three consecutive home matches to conclude non-conference play.
Troy (1-4-0) will look to bounce back following two defeats last week. On Sunday, Troy fell to Jacksonville State in a barnburner, conceding an 85th-minute goal that gave the Gamecocks a 4-3 win.
Imani Hamilton and Mallorie Springs each netted their first career goals in the first half, while Alaina Uncapher scored her team-leading sixth career goal in the second half to level the match at three apiece.

Kennesaw State (2-3-1) enters Friday in the middle of a three-game road swing following a scoreless draw at Tennessee Tech on Sunday. Goalkeeper Charlee Bernal made three saves to preserve the shutout.

Hamilton capitalized on a set piece placed into the box in the 17th minute, tapping in the goal between two defenders to score Troy's first goal of the match. Springs would score six minutes later, striking a left-footed shot from the edge of the box past the goalkeeper. One minute later, Springs nearly scored again, ripping an attempt off the crossbar.
