The City of Decatur’s 2026 waterfowl hunting blind waiting list is opening soon. If you were on last year’s waiting list, you will need to sign up again. A new list is established each year to give waterfowl hunters a more equitable way to obtain blind permits. Persons on the new waiting list will be contacted if there are blinds available due to hunters not paying their annual blind permit fees by the due date.
The new waiting list will be available for waterfowl hunter registration on a first-come, first-served basis starting July 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. on our Duck Blind permit webpage. Registration for the list will be open until August 1, 2026.
