TROY, Ala. – Troy soccer continues its three-match homestand on Monday afternoon, hosting West Florida at 3 p.m. at the Troy Soccer Complex.
Troy (1-4-1) is coming off a 2-2 draw against Kennesaw State on Friday night. The Trojans received goals from Madisyn Marchesi and Alaina Uncapher, while Taylor Richards made seven important saves. Troy was outshot 21-15, marking the Trojans' third straight match allowing 20-plus shots.
West Florida (2-0-0) is in its first season of Division I soccer and is a member of the ASUN Conference. Monday's contest will mark the first meeting between the Trojans and Argonauts.

Monday's match will be Troy's first Monday contest since Aug. 22, 2022, when the Trojans suffered a 1-0 loss to Alabama A&M. Troy's previous Monday match before that came in 2021, when the Trojans fell to ULM, 1-0, in the Sun Belt Tournament.
First career tallies
Third-year Imani Hamilton and first-year Mallorie Springs both scored their first career goals last Sunday against Jacksonville State. Hamilton capitalized on a set piece placed into the box in the 17th minute, tapping in the goal between two defenders to score Troy's first goal of the match. Springs scored six minutes later, striking a left-footed shot from the edge of the box past the goalkeeper. One minute later, Springs nearly scored again, ripping an attempt off the crossbar.
Scouting West Florida
West Florida has played just two matches heading into Monday's meeting with Troy. The Argonauts are led by head coach Joe Bartlinski, who earned his 400th career win on Thursday against Stetson. Bartlinski is in his 25th season with West Florida. Holding a 2-0 record this season, the Argonauts hold wins over Stetson and McNeese. Lucia Revuelto leads the team with two goals, while Olof Thorvaldsdottir has taken eight shots.
